Pink Flamingo Brunch
Pink Flamingo Themed – Mother’s Day Brunch
Following on from previous post, while Mother’s Day this year may have been different in how we celebrated this special day, after creating a pretty pastel wildflower breakfast I wanted to create something fun and vibrant. With pink being my favourite colour and wanting to do something different, I decided to style a Pink Flamingo Mother’s Day Brunch
Our Mothers Day brunch was styled to be bright and fun, and still have all the styling elements I love when it comes to Mothers Day celebrations, flowers, champagne, mocktails or flocktails as we called them and chocolate.
To help transform the dining area space for our brunch, I created a black and white fabric backdrop for the back wall, and than added the large paper flowers in fuschia, black and gold. These were styled to one side so that the main focus was the gorgeous gold acrylic sign and pink flamingo "Mother and Child" centerpiece by https://www.barleyboy.com.au/ ann pink flamingo decal from https://www.instagram.com/serendipitydesigncorner/
As it was a brunch I added a gold drink cart for the Champagne and Mocktails , the frozen pink mocktails were definitely favorite of my little ones.and very easy to make. We just added lemonade to apple and guava juice placed in the freezer for a couple of hours in themonirng and than added some of the non frozen drink mix to the glasses.
For the colours palette I used different tones of pink from fuschia pink to pastel pink, and for that tropical pop of colour I added large green tropical leaves. The tropical leaves with cure pink flamingo plates gave the overall table styling a holiday tropical style.
To keep the theme throughout the styling all the prints were designed to compliment each other with the Mother and child flamingo image, tropical leaves and tones of pink.
As I love sweets I ordered desserts from some of my favorite local small businesses, and asked for the desserts to coordinate with the theme and the colour scheme. As usual the products were absolutely perfect and looked too good to eat, well almost

I absolute love all the detail on these champagne themed sugar cookies, which were designed to match our "pop the bubbly" pink moscato bottles. Cookies by https://www.instagram.com/sugarcrumbcookies/
As I love weaving the theme throughout when styling, I had custom prints designed for the chocolate wrappers, champagne bottles, and gift tags for the gifts. These were designed and printed by https://www.instagram.com/serendipitydesigncorner/ who also designed the most gorgeous virtual hug card, which is such a gorgeous idea to send someone when you cant be with them on a special day occasion, or just because you miss them. They are designed so when you scratch the heart there is a secret personalised message for them,
I hope you all enjoyed your Mothers Day, as I did as my favourite part of celebrating a day like this is the tome I get to spend with my family. And i was definitely spoilt with home made cards from my younger ones, having a lovely walk with ny husband around the lake on our own while ethe older children (Aged 22 and 14) watched the boys, and than family time for our brunch all together as a family.
